  BARONI
  
  Josephine "Pina" Baroni, 88, of Patriot Manor, formerly of Acosta, died
  March 25, 1997, in Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 3, 1908, in Tento, Italy,
  daughter of the late Victor and Trandi Tranquilli.  Preceded in death by
  her husband, Guido, who died in 1979; infant twin girls, and one son, Msgr.
  Geno C. Baroni in 1984.  Also preceded in death by one brother and six
  sisters.  Survived by these children: Angelo of Downingtown, Mary of Upper
  Burrell, Rose of Springfield, Va., and John of Plattsmouth, Neb.; also 13
  grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.  Two sisters: Anna of Arco,
  Italy, and Antoinette of Trento, Italy.  Member of St. John's Roman
  Catholic Church, Acosta, and auxiliary to the Acosta Fire Department.  She
  loved cooking, gardening and knitting.  Friends will be received from 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home,
  where wake service will be conducted at 7 p.m., Father Blase Wegierski OFM
  Conv. officiating.  Prayer service 11 a.m. Thursday with Father Wegierski
  officiating.  Interment in Husband Cemetery.  Mass of Christian Burial at a
  later date at the convenience of the family.

  a.m. Saturday, April 12, in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta, Rev.
  Father Blase Wegierski O. F. M. Conv. officiating.  Arrangements in the
  charge of Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.
