Barron, 77, of Coxes Creek Road, Somerset, died Dec. 23, 1999, in Somerset Hospital. Born Sept. 16, 1922, in Somerset Township, son of Ira and Edith (Bowman) Barron. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert A. Barron, and sister, Ruth Yarrison. Survived by wife of 57 years, Betty (Bell) Barron; and these children: Larry (married to Linda Barron of Birmingham, Ala.), Nancy Bady of Somerset and Virginia (married to Jim Barron of Gaithersburg, Md. Also, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother of Helen Marteeny, Somerset; Floy McClintock, Somerset; and Delores Cramer of New Centerville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Somerset. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with the Rev.
