Born Oct. 24, 1914 in Milford Township, he is the son of the late James H. and Tena C. (Miller) Barron. Also preceded in death by wife, Pearle M. (Hay) Barron and the following brothers and sisters; William, Orlo and Cora. He was the last of his immediate family. Survived by children: James W. married to the former Linda Sturtz of Somerset, Edward M. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., David P .married to the former Barbara James Danville, Myrtle O. married to David Sturtz, Middletown, Md., and Wilmer H., married to the former Sally Speelman of Somerset. Nine grandchildren: Christopher, Jamie, Andrew, Heather, Rebecca, Matthew and Samantha Barron and Stephen and Shannon Sturtz. One great grandson, Steven Barron. Member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren and the Ever Ready Sunday School class. Retired in 1976 from Agway after 29 years of service. Was a farmer and an avid fisherman and hunter. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday in the Somerset Church of the Brethren with Rev. Mark Bendes officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in his memory to Somerset Church of the Brethren, 303 S.
