Barron, 75, 502 Route 66, Washington Township, Westmoreland County, died suddenly Aug. 20, 1984, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 20, 1909, in Somerset, son of the late James and Matilda (Kasebeer) Barron. He farmed in Somerset area for 38 years before moving to the Apollo area in 1947. He worked as a school bus contractor until his retirement in 1972. Charter member and past director of the Washington Township firemen and housed the first fire truck of the original company. He was also a director of Vandergrift Lions Club where he had 27 years of perfect attendance. Member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Oklahoma Borough, Pa. Survivors include his wife, Mae Belle (Ream) Barron; two daughters: Mrs. William (Twila) Guss, North Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. William (Marlonna) Moore, Washington Township; five grandchildren; one aunt, Kathryn Bowman, Menlo Park, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Barron would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Sept. 25. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Funeral services will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church, 11 a.m. Friday, with his pastor, the Rev. Ralph Jones in charge. Interment, Mt. Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Lavansville.
