Barron, 72, of Friedens, died April 6, 1977 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 12, 1905 in Summerfield. Son of Wilson R. and Grace Kennell Barron. Preceded in death by parents, son Samuel, brother George K. and sister Margaret Sechler. Survived by widow, the former Elsie Yoder and the following children: Richard, Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Ferris (Louella) Ringer, Portage, Ind.; Mrs. James (Peggy) Manges, Elyria, O.; Ray Y., Gary Ind.; Mrs. James R. (Donna) Pyle, Somerset RD 1; Emmett W. Friedens RD 2; Mrs. David (Connie) Bowers, Somerset; Judy Lee at home; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother of Jay K. and Fred, both of Copley Road, O.; Floyd, Somerset; Mrs. Lucille Clark and Mrs. Ethel Schrock both of Somerset RD 3; Mrs. John (Mary) Dorsey, McKeesport; Mrs. Marco (Wilma) Biancotti, Listie; Robert Elmyra, N.Y. Death ends a marriage union of 52 years. Retired coal miner and custodian of Friedens Elementary School, member of Friedens Lutheran Church, charter member of Friedens Volunteer Fire Company. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to Friedens Lutheran Church to lie in state from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. James R. Ling, officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
