Barron Sr., 86, Somerset, died April 8, 1980, in Siemon Lakeview Manor. He was born Oct. 31, 1893, in Somerset Township, a son of the late Charles J. and Rosie (Weigle) Barron. He was preceded in death by parents; his first wife, the former Bessie Ankeny; two sons; two daughters; one grandson; three brothers and a sister. He was survived by his wife, the former Maude Bruner; and these children: Mrs. Romaine Morrison and Mrs. Anita Burton, both of Bel Air, Md.; Miss Rachel Aberdeen, Md.; Mrs. Gail Vavrek, Diming, N. Mex.; Mrs. Arlene Tomanio, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Sandra Crawford, Rockwood RD 1; Mrs. Emily Harper, Camp Springs, Md.; Cecil, Houston; Gale, Gaitersburg, Md.; Ellis and Howard, both of Somerset; Barrie, Somerset RD 6; and John W. Jr., Johnstown; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Anna Marie Barron, Somerset RD 3. He was a member of Samuel's Lutheran Church; 51-year member of F.O.E., Somerset; a life-long Republican; a retired farmer. Friends were received in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services were conducted with the Rev. Gregory R. Pile officiating. Interment, Samuel's Church Cemetery.
