  BARRON
  
  Kenneth Elmer Barron Sr., 73, of Rockwood, died April 13, 2003 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Feb. 23, 1930 in Somerset Twp., a son of the late
  Clarence and Ruth (Brocht) Barron.  Also preceded in death by brothers, Ray
  and Galen Barron.  Survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Thelma
  Alverta Romesburg; children, Donald and Bryan of Somerset; David of
  Meyersdale, Roy and Kenneth Jr. of Rockwood, Ralph of Somerset, Jeff and
  Stanley of Rockwood, Steve of Edie, Marlene Newman of Pittsburgh and
  Kenneth and Cathy Barron; and 17 grandchildren.  Brother of Mary Riley of
  Oklahoma and Edward Barron of Somerset.  Attended Christian Gospel
  Tabernacle.  Army veteran of Korean Conflict and retired from U.S. Steel in
  Pittsburgh.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Wednesday.  The Rev. John Ludwick officiating.  Interment, Highland
  Cemetery.
