She was born March 21, 1921, in Sharon, the daughter of Libor and Rose Piachek Krochka. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph L. Barron on Nov. 13, 1996 whom she married Nov. 22, 1941. Survived by three daughters: Mary Ann Biggart of Melbourne, Fla.; Betty Lou Barron of Sharon; Mrs. Charles (Joanne) Hardy of San Diego, Calif. A son, John L. Barron of Hermitage; two brothers, John M. Korchka of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Edward B. Krochka of Sharon. Also six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Theresa Marie, a sister Catherine LaMachia and brothers Albert and Joseph L. Krochka. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell and its Bethany Club. She was also a former member of St. Ann's Altar and Rosary Society. She had been a school bus driver for the Sharpesville School District in the 60s. She had also been a model for the O'Neil Department Store in Akron, Ohio. Friends received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St., Sharon. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Fatima Church with the Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor officiating. Interment, St. Ann's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Daily American, October 11, 2000 [B0563]
