Born July 1, 1920, in Somerset Township, son of Austin Jacob and Lillian (Good) Barron. Preceded in death by parents, sisters: Carrie Knepper and Ruth Kinsinger and brother: Harold Barron. Survived by his wife, the former Helen E. Stahl, whom he married on September 16, 1950; sister Dorothy Zubek, Central City; sisters-in law Ruth Haas, Florida, and Katherine Stahl, New Jersey; nephews and nieces: Richard Knepper, Stanley R., Mark, Henry, and David Zubek, Janet Maher, Lillian Robron, and Dorothyan (Zubek) Fulton; special nieces Janet Loscudo, and Carol Barto; and several other nieces and nephews. He was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown. He worked on the Barron family farm until he was 30, and he was a cement truck driver for 35 years. He enjoyed cooking after retirement, and he loved gardening around his home. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
