Born in Somerset on Feb. 15, 1948. Ginny was preceded in death by her father Dean Bowman Barron and her mother Betty Jane Barron, both of Somerset; her brother Larry Lee Barron, Birmingham, Ala, who just lost his battle with prostate cancer on Feb. 21, 2006. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, James Barron; her son, Gregory Barron, Rising Sun, Md; her daughter Deena Madore and her husband Steve Madore, Aberdeen Md; four grandchildren, Jefferey Barron, Christopher Barron, Griffin Barron; Brynn Renee Madore; one sister, Nancy Barron Dady, St. Louis Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Ginny unknowingly began her life-long purpose of touching the lives of others while always putting her needs and desires second. After serving as the Somerset Fire Queen and a Pennsylvania Maple Princess, Ginny graduated from Somerset High School in 1966, the same year she became the Pennsylvania Laurel Queen in Wellsboro. After attending secretarial school in Pittsburgh, Ginny married her high school sweetheart, Jim, also from Somerset, in Sept. 1967. The couple had a lot of fun with the fact that Ginny never had to change her last name. Ginny was a gorgeous woman of striking beauty. But that beauty was far from skin deep as she projected her inward beauty to all she met. She was the type of person that could walk up to a stranger on the street and within minutes that person felt like they had known her for a lifetime. The family will receive friends at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, 333 S. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will be held at the same location from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment with a grave side service will be at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aldino Road, Aberdeen, Md., at 1:30 p.m. A celebration of Ginny's life will immediately follow the graveside service at the Bulle Rock Golf Clubhouse, 320 Blenheim Lane, Havre de Grace, Md. Contributions can be made in honor of Ginny to Harford Hospice, Tyler Ridge IIA, 8003 Corporate Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236.
