Barron, 85, Derry, died June 22, 2006, at home. Born May 28, 1921 in Trent. Son of Orlin and Violet (Miller) Barron. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Roxie Emert Barron; a son, William Barron Jr.; a daughter, Sherry Barron Porterfield; a brother, Robert Barron; and a sister Betty Singo. He was the loving father of Sandra (Roger) Kellerman, Latrobe, and David (Sheree) Barron, Kreger; grandfather of Beth, Paula, Matthew, Michael, Becky, and Julie; great-grand-father, Kierston, Bryce, Riley, Barren and Natalie; brother of N.B., Orlin Jr., Ollie, Jean, Bonnie, Susan, Violet and Linda; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. William was a retired independent truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Post 324 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 444, both in Derry. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. William was a Godly, kind and generous man who will be missed by all his friends at Christian Fellowship Center of Derry and his family at Derry Station where he resided. He was active in church and always had time to give any-one from Derry Station a ride. Bill spoke highly of every-one. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Christian Fellowship Center at 4 p.m. Sunday, with graveside services to follow at Snowball Cemetery at 7 p.m.
