  HOWARD C. BARTHOLOMEW
  
    Howard Coleman Bartholomew, 70, of Salisbury RD 1, died Wednesday, August
  22, 1990, at Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born November 27, 1919, in Rocky Mount, N.C., he was the son of the late
  Thomas and Bessie (Riggan) Bartholomew.
    He retired as an aeronautical engineer with General Dynamics
  Corporation.  He was a World War II veteran.
    He is survived by his widow, Bernice (Bender) Bartholomew; two sons: John
  Bartholomew and Joe Bartholomew, both of Austin, Texas; four daughters: 
  Jane Corrigan, Rockville, Md.; Shelly Treadway, Baltimore, Md.; Melissa
  Tanner, Fairfax, Va.; and Amy Rice, Albuquerque, N.M.; and seven
  grandchildren.
    The body will be cremated.
    The Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., was in charge of the
  arrangements.
