  BARTHOLOW
  
     Joseph D. Bartholow, 72, East Main Street, Somerset, died Oct. 29, 1980,
  in Somerset.  Born June 21, 1908 in Snake Spring Valley, Bedford County.  A
  son of Oliver and Mary Alice (Grimes) Bartholow.  Preceded in death by
  parents, four brothers and two sisters.  Survived by his wife, Edna Mae
  Pyle, two sisters, Mrs. Edward Louis, East Freedom, and Mrs. Howard Hite,
  Osterburg, and one foster nephew, Robert T. Hammond, Plaistow, N.H.  Member
  of First Christian Church, Somerset, retired Somerset Bus Company driver and
  retired Pennsylvania Turnpike employee.  Friends will be received from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where
  service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gene Sellers and
  the Rev. Marlin A. Miller officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.
