  BASINGER
  
    Joseph M. Basinger, 60, of Confluence, died Oct. 10, 2002 at his home. 
  He was born Aug. 6, 1942 in Confluence, a son of the late Benjamin F. and
  Goldie E. (Rugg) Basinger.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
  death by six brothers and four sisters.  He is survived by close friend and
  companion Rose Marie Hilliard of Confluence.  Sons Joseph Michael and Jeremy
  both of Confluence and Jerry of Baltimore, Md., a daughter Joy Rugg of
  Friendsville, Md., six grandchildren, sister Elaine Clevenger of Confluence
  and a brother Ronald Basinger of Igo, Calif.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of
  Vietnam.  A member of the Confluence VFW Post 7250, Rockwood American
  Legion, and Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association.  No viewing or
  visitation. Private disposition at the convenience fo the family.  Memorial
  contributions may be made in care of the family.  Arrangements by Humbert
  Funeral Home, Confluence.
