Bass Jr., 51, of Stoystown (Indian Lake) died July 26, 2000 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 10, 1948 in Ilion, N.Y., the son of Elmer E. and Emma J. (Jerin) Bass. Preceded in death by father and stepfather, the Rev. Earl Coleman. Survived by wife of 34 years, the former Violet Moore, children: Ronald married to the former Joanne Evanchesky, Central City; Michele, wife of Michael Trybus, Stoystown, and Sherry at home. Grandchildren Ariel and Ryan. Also mother and stepfather Floyd Price, sister Catherine Rummel and step brother Earl Coleman, all of Hagerstown, Md. Former pastor of Central City Full Gospel Church and the Victory Lighthouse Church. USAF veteran of the Vietnam War and a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. Sam served as a police officer in Confluence, Rockwood and Windber boroughs. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. Saturday until time of service at 2 p.m. at the Central City Full Gospel Church, Rev. John Coleman.
