  BASSETT
  
    Robert A. "Wimp" Bassett, 67, of Meyersdale RD 4, died Oct. 31, 1995, at
  Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born Feb. 19, 1928, in Garrett, a
  son of the late Albert and Ellen (Smith) Bassett.  Also preceded in death
  by a brother, Jack Bassett and a sister, Corrine Bassett.  Survived by his
  wife, the former Ruth L. Hahn; a daughter, Terrie Baer, Bridgeport, W.Va.,
  and a grandson, Michael P. Bolden.  A brother of Ilean Bittner, Dover,
  N.H.; Nancy Payne, Oceanside, Calif., and Audrey Winters, Somerset. 
  Retired in February of 1993 from Meyersdale Manufacturing Co. Inc., as a
  supervisor with 46 years of service.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will
  be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Barry Weyant officiating. 
  Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
