    Nellie M. (Avery) Basye, 88, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of
  Acosta, died Jan. 27, 1996, at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs.  Born
  Jan. 2, 1908, in Cross, W. Va., daughter of Charles and Polly (Michael)
  Avery.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Floran W. on Feb. 19, 1984;
  sister, Lorna Pugh; brothers:  Lewis, Theodore and James.  Survived by
  sons: Kenneth, married to Phyllis Hornsby, Colorado Springs, Colo., and
  Terry, married to Lillian Arroyo, Lexington, Ky.  Also survived by these
  grandchildren:  Kirsten Felton and Colin, Shevawn, Janice, Erik Ward Basye
  and Miriam Quagliato and Shaela Marie Hadley; also 10 great-grandchildren
  and one great-great-granddaughter.  Sister of Luther of Dover, Pa.  Member
  of Jenner Grace Brethren Church.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell.  Viewing also
  from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Jenner Grace
  Brethren Church, the Rev. Richard H. Cornwell.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads
  Cemetery.
