EVA MAE MILLER BATES

  Mrs. Eva Mae Miller Bates passed away at home in Carleton, Neb., July 26, 
1944, at the age of 62 years.  She was born in Waterloo, Ia., the daughter of 
Samuel and Sarah Miller.  She is survived by her husband Harvey T. Bates, her 
mother, Mrs. Sarah Miller, two adopted children, Donald, who was the son of a 
deceased sister, and Kathryn; two sisters, Mrs. Wilson D. Saylor, formerly of 
Meyersdale, Sadie Beck of Los Angeles, Cal.; and three brothers, Howard C. 
Miller, of Mankato, Minn., Mahlon G. of Los Angeles, and Samuel, of Gurley, Neb.
