  BATES
  
    Margaret K. Bates, 85, Ligonier, died April 3, 1988 at Latrobe Area
  Hospital.  Born May 1, 1902, daughter of the late Wade H. and Ophia
  (Chrisner) Kinsey.  Survived by one son, Dr. James E. Bates, Philadelphia;
  two daughters, Mrs. John (Margaret Jean) Rose, Boswell RD 2; and Mrs.
  Robert E. (Doris) Jenkins, Ligonier; five grandchildren, two great
  grandchildren; one sister and one brother.  Retired school teacher. 
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Snyder Funeral Home
  Inc., Bell and East Church Street, Ligonier.  Service in funeral home
  chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday.  Interment, Ligonier Valley Cemetery.  Memorial
  to Kinsey Museum in care of Mrs. George Thomas Jr., Ligonier RD 5;  Helen H.
  Snyder in charge of arrangements.
