    Edwin R. Bauer, beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather, Somerset,
  died March 30, 2008, at home with his family by his side. Born Aug. 22, 1940,
  in Somerset, the son of the late Dr. Edwin F. and Nell (Gorr) Bauer. Survived
  by loving wife of 35 years, Darlene R. (Benedict) Bauer; and daughters, Tracey,
  married to James D. Barron III, Boswell; and Amy, married to Justin M. Rock,
  Somerset; grandchildren, Skyler and Kyleigh Miller, Luke Barron and Alyssa
  Rock; sister, Joyce, married to Steven McGanka, Buffalo, N.Y. Also survived by
  numerous brothers-in-law, sisters in- law, nieces, nephews, cousins and
  friends. Edwin was a retired steel worker of Bethlehem Steel Corp and Johnstown
  Wire Technology, life member of the VFW Post 554 and a member of the Grace
  United Methodist Church. Edwin was also a U.S. Navy veteran. At the request of
  the deceased, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 11
  a.m. Thursday at the Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please
  make donations to Somerset Hospice in memory of Edwin. Arrangements in care of
