She was born February 9, 1934, in Chartiers a daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret (Halle) Knepp. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F., in 1998, a son William C., daughter Ramona Tipton and a brother George Knepp. She is survived by these children: Valerie McKissick, Claredon; Matthew, Meyersdale; and Mark and his wife Karen of Warren and a daughter-in-law, Marie Bauer, Meyersdale. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. She was a member of the Meyersdale United Methodist Church, and she volunteered at the Somerset Hospice and Warren General Hospital. She was known for her work at the Grandma stand at the County Fair, and formerly worked at the Mineral Well Restaurant in Warren. Friends will be received on Friday at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. She will lie in state on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of service at the Meyersdale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joseph Onder officiating. Interment will be held in the White Oak Cemetery. The family suggests that charitable contributions may be made to the Meyersdale United Methodist Church or the Somerset Hospice.
