   Duane O. Baughman, 71, Baughman Farm Lane, Conemaugh Township, died March 22, 2007, at
  the Lutheran Home, Johnstown. Born Jan. 8, 1936, in Jennerstown, son of Glenn O. and
  Elsie V. (Spangler) Baughman. Preceded in death by parents; sister-in-law, Mary Mardis;
  brother-in-law, Edward Thomas. Survived by wife of 42 years, the former Betty M. Thomas;
  daughter, Laura, at home; and Laura's special friend, Frank Yoder Jr., Johnstown. Brother
  of Esther, widow of William Keyser Jr.; and Edith, widow of Regis Dressler, both of
  Davidsville; Glendora Fay, and husband Charles Hochstein Sr., Johnstown; and Vaughn and
  wife, Pat, Latrobe. Also survived by sis-ter- in-law, Virginia Thomas, Conemaugh
  Township; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Mount Laurel United Church of Christ
  and United Mine Workers of America. Past employee of the former Fetterolf and Marmon Coal
  companies and also worked at the former Highlands Snack Foods. Duane was a gentle man and
  a farmer at heart. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Hoffman
  Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville, where a service will be held 11 a.m.
  Tuesday. Pastor Peter Helmers, offici-ating. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery, near
  Jerome.
