Baughman, 94, of Berlin, died Jan. 6, 2003 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Oct. 8, 1908 in Stonycreek Township, he was the son of Milton J. and Elizabeth (Brant) Baughman. Preceded in death by his parents; infant son John, sisters, Ethel Walker, Elnora Will and twin sister Viola Miller. Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Evelyn Custer; sons, Larry, married to the former Carol Ohler, Somerset and Melvin, married to the former Bonnie Ludy, Glencoe; grandchildren, Greg, Richard, Gail, Jacob and Jason Baughman, and Brenda Philip; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lulu Mayo, Brunswick, Ga. Attended Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren. Army veteran of World War II, and was a manager for the former Altman's Feed Store, Somerset, and had worked at Snyder of Berlin. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.
