  WALTER BAUGHMAN
  
    Walter F. Baughman, 82, of Meyersdale, died March 30, 1998, at Meyersdale
  Medical Center.
     Born Jan. 25, 1916, in Sand Patch, he was a son of the late William and
  Agnes (Bittner) Baughman.
    He is survived by his widow, the former Margaret Hampe, and these
  children:  Walter James, Hyndman; Willard "Sock" of Meyersdale; and Sharon
  Knopsnyder, Somerset.  Mr. Baughman is also survived by eight grandchildren
  and eight great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by three sisters: Stella
  Baughman, Dolores Hutzel and Violet Reiber, all of Meyersdale.
    Mr. Baughman was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the
  Charles E. Kelley Post, American Legion.  He was a retired PennDOT employee.
    Friends were received at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  services were held April 2, with Pastor John Nalley officiating. 
  Interment, White Oak Cemetery.
