Bauman, 58, well known citizen of Northampton Twp., expired suddenly at his home Wednesday evening. Coroner Dosch, after investigation, pronounced the cause of death as a heart attack. He was a retired railroadman. Surviving are: a son, Cpl. Walter M. Bauman, Ft. Benning, Ga., a daughter, Miss May, Windber; and the following brothers and sisters: M. H. Bauman, Glencoe; D. H. Bauman, Meyersdale; Mrs. H. L. Zimmerman, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. H. C. Kiehm, Delavan, Minn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2:30 p.m., in Mt. Lebanon Church, of which he was a member, his pastor, Rev. Gindlesperger, officiating. The body will lie in state at the Johnson Funeral Home, Berlin, Saturday, until an hour before the funeral. In accordance with the pre-mortem request of the deceased, his body will be sent to Pittsburgh for cremation, the ashes to be buried in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery later. Meyersdale Republican, July 8, 1943
