Bauman, aged 72 years, died at the home of his brother, M. H. Bauman near Glencoe on Tuesday, September 22, after an extended illness. In his early life he was a farmer but for nearly half a century he was in the employ of the Maintenance of Way department of the B. & O. railroad. He served as foreman for many years. He was never married and when he was pensioned by the railroad company he came to the old homestead to spend his closing years, and here he received the most affectionate care. He is survived by three brothers, D. H. Bauman, Meyersdale; M. H. Bauman and A. C. Bauman of Glencoe and two sisters, Mrs. H. C. Kiehm, Delavan, Minn., and Mrs. Ora Zimmerman, Los Angeles, Cal.; also one half brother, J. F. Engleka, Rockwood. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Lebanon church by Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger at 2:30 this (Thursday) afternoon. The Johnson Funeral Home, Berlin, had charge of the funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, September 24, 1942
