Born Aug. 4, 1910, in Brothersvalley Township, son of the late Ephraim G. and Sarah Minerva (Stahl) Bauman. Also preceded in death by four sisters: Alberta, Edna, Laura and Iva. Survived by brother Homer E., Meyersdale RD 4, and several cousins. Retired Brothersvalley Township farmer. Member of Mt. Zion Hay's United Church of Christ and Somerset County Historical and Geological Society. A World War II veteran having served in the Siapan Island. A 1930 Meyersdale High School graduate. Friends received at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service is 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Carl P. Mitchell. Interment, Hay's Church Cemetery. Daily American, September 5, 1989 [B0678]
