Bauman, a member of the Pittsburgh Conference of the Evangelical Church, died suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at his home in Glen Campbell, Indiana County, Pa. He was a native of Northamption Township, Somerset County, and his body was brought to his native heath for burial in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Mt. Lebanon Church. Rev. E. L. Nicely presided at the service. The Scriptures were read by Rev. M. V. Kelly and prayer was offered by Rev. G. A. Collins. Rev. F. W. Ware gave a biographical sketch and Rev. Dr. F. E. Hetrick preached the sermon. The closing prayer was offered by Rev. D. R. Doverspike. At the grave Rev. S. A. Miller read the committal service, while Rev. J. M. Miller pronounced the benediction. Other ministers present were Revs. C. E. Custer, C. W. Raley, C. W. Evans, N. A. Constable, A. F. Thomas, A. M. Gahagan and N. A. Pearce. Services were conducted at the Bauman home in Glen Campbell on Friday evening by the Revs. Hasbach, of Indiana, Sprinkle, of Cherrytree and Shirley and Austin, of Glen Campbell. Rev. Bauman was licensed to preach in September, 1899. He served the following charges: Juniata, 1900 - 1901; Bedford, 1901 - 1903; Worthyville-Heathville, 1903 - 1904; Cambria, 1904 - 1906; Scalp Level, 1906 - 1908; Scottdale, 1912 - 1913; Venango, 1925 - 1927; Westover, 1927 - 1929; Cherrytree, 1929 - 1930; Johnstown Mission, 1930 - 1931. At the close of the conference year in 1931, Rev. Bauman was obligated to retire because of ill health. Meyersdale Republican, February 25, 1931
