  GEORGE BAUMGARDNER
  
    George J. Baumgardner, 68, of Berlin RD 4, died Aug. 11, 1977, at
  Johnstown Memorial Hospital.  Born Jan 18, 1909, in Scalp Level, he was a
  son of the late Harvey and Mary (Shull) Baumgardner.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
    He is survived by his widow, the former Hazel Johnson, and the following
  children:  George, Berlin RD 4; Charles, Berlin RD 4; Dale, married to the
  former Georgia Shaffer, Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Marlin (Shirley) Miller,
  Friedens RD 2; Gerald, married to the former Janice Brant, Somerset RD 5;
  Mrs. Donald (Charlotte) Shepley, Stoystown RD 1; fourteen grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Mrs. Vera Alexander, Ligonier; William, Pittsburgh;
  Charles, Cairnbrook; Edward, Friedens RD 2; and Mrs. Amanda Faye Francis,
  Alexandria, Va.
    He was a member of the TPA, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
    Funeral services were held Saturday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home
  with Rev. Dale Biesecker officiating.  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
