  BAUMGARDNER
  
    Ruth L. Baumgardner, 75, of 113 Flax Ave., Johnstown, died Oct. 7, 1982,
  at her residence.  Born June 6, 1907, in Sipesville, Somerset County,
  daughter of the late William and Minnie (Smucker) Shaffer.  Preceded in
  death by parents and brother, Harold.  Survived by husband, William B.; and
  two sons: William F. Higgins, Columbus Ohio; and Fred B. Higgins of
  Jennerstown; also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  A member
  of First Lutheran Church of Johnstown.  Friends will be received from 2-4
  p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Inc. Funeral Home,
  Johnstown, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev.
  Dr. Robert G. Swanson officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
