  BAUMGARTNER
  
    Serepta Jane (Baumy) Baumgartner, 85, of Salisbury, died Dec. 10, 1988,
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born May 17, 1903, in Hendersonville, N.C.,
  daughter of the late Mark M. and Florence (Shephard) Bowen.  Preceded in
  death by her husband, Ellet S. Baumgartner.  Survived by one stepdaughter,
  Lydia B. Graff of Medina, Ohio; three step-grandchildren and four
  step-great-grandchildren.  Graduated from the Baltimore Hospital School of
  Nursing, Ashville N.C.  She worked as a registered nurse at the Mission
  Hospital, Ashville; the Good Samaritan Hospital Cincinnati; the Lutheran
  Home at Moorestown, N.J.; and the Meyersdale Community Hospital.  She was a
  member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Salisbury and the Salisbury
  Fireman's Auxiliary.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday
  (today) at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, with the Rev. David E. Fetter
  officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.  Family suggests expressions of
  sympathy take the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Community Hospital.
