Beabes, 98, Greensburg, formerly of Hooversville, died Nov. 25, 1988, at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Jan. 1, 1890 in Quemahoning Township, son of Noah and Susan (Blough) Beabes. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Ada Meyers; son, Lawrence; two brothers and two sisters. Survived by these children, Mary K., and Richard M., married to the former Ann Rousch, both of Greensburg; also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Orie M., Sebring, Fla. Member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Sebring. Retired farmer, maple producer and bee keeper. Active for many years as president of Somerset County Sheep and Wool Growers Association. Family received friends, Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville where service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Gerald L. Myers officiating. Interment, Casebeer Cemetery.
