  BEACHEM
  
    Dorothy Marie Beachem, 79, of Fairview, N.C., died June 13, 2001, at
  Mission Hospital, Asheville, N.C.  Born Feb. 20, 1922, in Johnstown,
  daughter of Chauncey and Hazel (Daugherty) Brant.  Preceded in death by
  parents.  Survived by her husband of 58 years, James R. Beachem of
  Fairview, N.C.; children Richard Beachem of Fairview, N.C.; Roger Beachem
  of Asheville, N.C.; James Beachem Jr. and wife Mildred of Pittsburgh; Wayne
  Beachem of Atlantic City, N.J.; and daughter Carol A. Cabana and husband
  Philip of Springvale, Maine.  Also five grandchildren, two
  great-grandchildren, brother Richard Brant of Johnstown and sister Anne
  Carbaugh of Johnstown.  A native of Johnstown.  Before moving to Fairview
  in 1982, she lived in Baltimore, Md., and worked for the Lutheran Economy
  Store in Essex, Md.  She was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. 
  Graveside services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Friedens
  Cemetery, Friedens, with the Rev. Dennis L. Zimmerman officiating.
