Beachley, 71, Berlin, died Aug. 14, 2005, at home. Born June 8, 1934, in Somerset, son of Dalton J. and Marie (Heffley) Beachley. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Robert J. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Ann (Gill) Beachley for 49 years. Also survived by children, John A. II, married to the former Darlene Maust, and Nancy, married to James Froehlich, all of Berlin; five granddaughters of whom he was very proud: Andrea, Rebecca, Laura, Lisa and Kylie. A graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School Class of 1952 and Penn State University Class of 1956. Retired from Coleman Camping Trailers, Somerset, as a personnel administrator. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, where he served as a council member, secretary and Sunday school teacher. Member and past president of Berlin Lions Club and Somerset County Development Council. Served on Berlin Borough Council for 19 years. Member of Meyersdale Lodge 554 F&AM and Jaffa Temple Shrine. He was an avid member of the Penn State Nittany Lion Club and followed all their sports programs. He loved the outdoors and was a devoted hunter. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin.
