She was born in Somerset County, April 18, 1868, a daughter of the late Levi and Lydia (Lape) Queer. Her husband, the late Ira Beachley, who conducted a general store in Beachdale for many years, preceded her in death by 14 years. Mrs. Beachley was a faithful member of the Berlin Brethren Church. She was a devoted mother and her friends were numerous. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Pearle Brant, Garrett RD 1; Frank Beachley, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Wilson Boyer, Berlin; Mrs. Helen Cover, Garrett RD; Mrs. Floyd Hostetler, Berlin, RD 1, and by 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are these half sisters and brothers: Mrs. Daniel Lovey of Weirton, W.Va.; Mrs. Ralph Landis, Berlin, RD; Mrs. William Queer, Waterloo, Ia.; Myron Queer, Berlin; Robert and Harrison Queer, Somerset. Friends were received at the Johnson Funeral Home, Berlin, until Monday at 2 o'clock when the funeral cortege went to the Beachdale Church of the Brethren, where services were conducted at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Percy C. Miller officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. J. Replogle. Interment was made in the Beachdale Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, May 26, 1949
