Beachy, 78, of RD 2, Greenwood, Del., died November 15, 1982 in Milford Memorial Hospital. Born in Grantsville, Md. she was a daughter of the late Menno E. Hershberger and Minnie (Yoder) Hershberger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel D. Beachy, in 1978. Mrs. Beachy was a member of the Maple Glen Mennonite Church. She is survived by four sons, Claude Beachy, Haiti, West Indies; Alvie Beachy, Lititz, Pa.; Ivan Beachy and Stanley Beachy, both of Carlisle; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Beachy, Greenwood, Del., and Mrs. Margaret Hershberger, Fairview, Mich.; one brother, Alvin Hershberger, Kalona, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Tice, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Edna Yoder, Nappanee, Ind., Mrs. Grace Roberts, Haifa, Israel, Mrs. Lela Bender, Grantsville, Md.; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted at the Maple Glen Mennonite Church by the Rev. Paul Bender and the Rev. Ivan Maust. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to O.M.S. International, Box A, Greenwood, Ind. The Republic, November 25, 1982 [B0715]
