Beachy died at his home near Grantsville Sunday, Dec. 28. He was born March 24, 1870, the son of the late Aaron and Catherine (Folk) Beachy near Grantsville and was 77 years of age at his death. He was a farmer all his life as were his forebearers in the Beachy family, a well known and long established family in Garrett County. Mr. Beachy had been ill for several months with a heart ailment, and was seriously ill for several days before his death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Keim Beachy, one son, Clyde, at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Hester Margroff of Akron, O., and Mrs. Ethel Maust, Springs; and by two grandchildren and two brothers, Joel A. Beachy, coal operator, and Edward A. Beachy, near Grantsville. Funeral services were held at the Springs Mennonite Church, Wednesday morning, Dec. 31. Rev. Roy Otto, the pastor, officiated. The pallbearers were Clark Weller, Alvin Beachy, Vernon Beachy, John Beachy, Glen Kolbflesh and Clarence Rodamer. Interment was in the Springs Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, January 8, 1948
