CHARLES BEACHY

Grantsville, Maryland

  Charles Beachy, aged 62 years, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ella 
Augustine, at Friendsville, Md., Monday morning, April 11th.  Funeral services 
were held at Friendsville, Wednesday afternoon, and burial in the Grantsville 
cemetery followed.
  Mr. Beachy was a native of Grantsville and lived in this community most of his 
life.  He was a son of the late Samuel J. and Ruhamah (Knepper) Beachy, and is 
survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Augustine, of Friendsville and Mrs. David 
Durst, of Oakland, and one brother, Ward Beachy, of Grantsville.
  For many years Mr. Beachy practiced equine dentistry.  He was of a deeply 
religious nature and during his latter years devoted all of his time to 
evangelism as a lay minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
