  ELI D. BEACHY
  
    Eli D. Beachy, 83, of Oakland RD 2, Md., died Monday, Dec. 5, 1988, in
  Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md.
    Born in Salisbury, Dec. 9, 1904, he was the son of the late Daniel S. and
  Amanda (Miller) Beachy.  His wife, Minnie L. Beachy, died in 1985.
    Surviving are one son, Edwin E. Beachy, Oakland, Md.; two daughters: 
  Esther V. Beachy and Fannie M. Beachy, both of Oakland, Md.; one brother,
  Simon Beachy, Salisbury; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Beachy residence.
    Services will be conducted in the Gortner Amish Church Thursday at 10
  a.m. by Bishop Norman Schrock.  Interment will be in Slaubaugh Cemetery,
  Gortner.
    The Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, was in charge of arrangements.
