    Glenn E. Beachy, 89, Confluence, died Nov. 13, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born June
  11, 1918, in Fort Hill, the son of Elwood and Annie (McClintock) Beachy. Preceded in
  death by parents; wife, Dorothy Keslar; brothers, Raymond and Warren; and a sister, Edith
  Hetrick. He is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Leary and husband, Bruce, Pittsburgh;
  son, Edwin Beachy and wife, Marjorie, Ohiopyle; grandchildren, Peter and Patrick Leary,
  Michael, Lisa and Marisa Beachy; great-grand- children, Joshua Leary, Megan and Brooke
  Leary, Tyler and Taiten Beachy, and Miya Lynn Harris. Also survived by brothers, Galen
  Beachy, Fort Hill; and Clarence Beachy, Confluence. Mr. Beachy is a U.S. Army veteran of
  World War II, a 54-year member of the Ursina American Legion Post 946, a 50-year member
  of the Confluence Lions Club, and a lifetime member of the Confluence United Methodist
  Church. He retired after 40 years of employment with General Refractories Inc., Fort
  Hill. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Linda Dinger and the
  Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
