She was born Dec. 19, 1872, and was aged 58 years, 4 months and 19 days. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 20th, at the family home, Rev. Howard W. Jamison of the Confluence Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. Interment in the Silbaugh Cemetery. C. B. Humbert was in charge of funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, May 21, 1931 ------ IDA PECK BEACHY Mrs. Ida Peck Beachy, wife of John L. Beachy, of Addison Township, died Monday morning, May 18, after a short illness, due to Peritonitis. She was aged 57 years, 4 months and 29 days. Her death came as a shock to her family and a large circle of friends. She was a daughter of Jacob and Louise Peck and is survived by two brothers, John Peck, Deer Park, Md., and Jonas Peck, Pocahontas, Pa., and two sisters, Mrs. Noah Stanton, Lebam, Washington, and Mrs. James Staub, Coal Run, Pa. Mrs. Beachy was a woman of exceptional charm and sterling qualities which made her one of the outstanding women of her community. She was a member of the Bittinger Lutheran Church for many years. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends came from far and near to show their respect for the deceased lady. The church was filled to overflowing with sorrowing relatives and friends. The services were conducted by Rev. Howard W. Jamison of Confluence. Interment was made in the Silbaugh cemetery. C. B. Humbert of Confluence was the undertaker in charge. Mrs. Beachy is survived by her husband, five daughters and two sons, Mrs. Earle Selders, Plainfield, Ohio; Miss Florence Beachy, Meyersdale; Mrs. Lyman Selders, West Lafayette, O.; Mrs. Charles Younkin, Markleton, Pa.; Mrs. Paul Vought, Isabella, Pa.; Wayman Beachy and Russell Beachy, Fort Hill, Pa. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren. She was always kind and helpful to those in distress and always willing to aid to the happiness of others. Meyersdale Republican, May 28, 1931
