  JOEL D. BEACHY
  
    Joel D. Beachy, 79, of Grantsville RD 1, Md., died Feb. 17, 1978, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    A native of Elk Lick Township, he was a son of the late Daniel S. and
  Amanda (Miller) Beachy.  Mr. Beachy was a member of Maple Glen Conservative
  Mennonite Church.
    Surviving are his widow, Annie (Hershberger) Beachy; four sons, Claude
  Beachy, Haiti, West Indies; Alvie Beachy, Lititz; and Ivan and Stanley
  Beachy, both of Carlisle; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Beachy, Greenwood, Del.;
  and Mrs. Margaret Hershberger, Fairview, Mich.; three brothers, Eli Beachy,
  Oakland, Md.; Alvin Beachy, Greenwood, Del.; and Simon Beachy, Salisbury;
  two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, Sarasota, Fla.; and Mrs. Salome
  Nafziger, Intercourse, Pa.; 21 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
    Funeral services were held Sunday at the Maple Glen Mennonite Church with
  the Rev. Paul Bender and the Rev. Ivan Maust officiating.  Arrangements were
  made by the Newman Funeral Home.
