Beachy, died at her home at Casselman, near Grantsville, on Sunday morning, June 21. She had been ill for some time and developed pneumonia last week and was somewhat improved when she was taken seriously ill and passed away. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Kolbfleisch and was born at Cove, Garrett County, Md., Aug. 19, 1863, aged 67 years, 10 months and 2 days. On December 24, 1884, she married Jacob Beachy, who survives her, with the following children: Clarence, Sherman and Jonas, living near Grantsville; Mrs. Jennie Spoerlin, Somerset, Pa.; Mrs. Walter Cook, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Irvin Baker, near Grantsville; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also one sister, Mrs. J. P. Miller, of Grantsville, and three brothers, Jackson Kolbfleisch, Oakland; John Kolbfleisch, Confluence, Pa., and Emanuel Kolbfleisch, of Cove, Md. Mrs. Beachy was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren. She was a kind neighbor and was highly respected by all who knew her. Funeral services were held in the Maple Grove Brethren Church on Tuesday afternoon, and were largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev. J. C. Walls, her pastor, officiated.
