Beachy died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Yoder, near Springs, Pa., Feb. 18, 1943, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 25 days. He was a son of Samuel and Elizabeth Yoder Beachy, and was born in Elk Lick Township. His death was caused by lobar pneumonia. He is survived by his wife and these sons and daughters: John of Goshen, Indiana; William of Sheridan, Oregon; Samuel of White Pigeon, Michigan; Mrs. Sarah Miller of Sheridan, Oregon; Mrs. Elizabeth Hoyer, San Diego, California; Mrs. Mary Yoder, National City, California; Mrs. Andrew Miller, Middleburg, Indiana; Mrs. Feldy Yoder, Marshall, Michigan. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, namely: Cornelius Beachy, Plain City, Ohio; Jonas Beachy, Sherwood, Ohio; Mrs. Kathrine Miller, Springs, Pa., and Mrs. D. A. Swartzentroper, Oakland, Md. Funeral services were conducted last Sunday morning at ten o'clock at the Amish Church, Niverton. The officiating minister was Joseph Yoder. Burial was in the Niverton Church cemetery, under the direction of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas of Salisbury. Meyersdale Republican, February 25, 1943
