  NORMAN D. BEACHY
  
    Norman D. Beachy, 83, of Millersburg, Ohio, formerly of Meyersdale RD 1,
  died Oct. 3, 1975, at his home.  He was born Aug. 15, 1892, a son of the
  late Daniel S. and Amanda (Miller) Beachy.  He was preceded in death by his
  first wife, the former Elizabeth Spenler, and a son.
    Surviving are his second wife, the former Lulu Schlabach, and a daughter,
  Barbara, wife of Ervin Hershberger, of Meyersdale RD 1; one granddaughter
  and three great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of Simon Beachy, Salisbury
  RD 1; Joel Beachy and Mrs. Lucy Smokder, Grantsville; Eli Beachy, Oakland
  Md.; Alvin Beachy, Greenwood, Del.; Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, Sarasota, Fla.;
  Mrs. Salome Nafziger of Intercourse, Pa.
    For many years he was known in Somerset County as the "Whitewash Man". 
  He was a member of Shiloh Fellowship Church of Millersburg.
    Funeral service was held Monday afternoon in Mountainview Church,
  Salisbury, in charge of Eli Tice, Noah Yoder and Elam Kaufman.  Interment
  in the church cemetery under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home,
  Salisbury.
