    Permelia L. "Meade" Beachy, 66, of Confluence, died Feb. 23, 1999, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born April 4, 1932, in Confluence.  A daughter of the
  late Lewis and Grace (Hyatt) Whaley.  Survived by husband, Clarence; two
  sons:  Terry, Connellsville; and Douglas, Confluence; a daughter, Tina L.
  Howard, Chillicothe, Ohio; two granddaughters, Julie and Leanna; also
  sisters:  Elsie Reckner, Mary Lou Anderson and Betty Warrick and brothers,
  John, William, Delmer and Arnold Whaley, all of Confluence.  Member of
  Laurel Mountain Chapel, Trent.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m.
  Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be
  held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Don Judy officiating.  Interment in
  Addison Cemetery.
