  BRUCE S. BEAL
  Oct. 31, 1927- Aug. 4, 1999
  
    Bruce Sylvester Beal, 71, of Meyersdale, died Aug. 4, 1999, at Meyersdale
  Medical Center.
    Born Oct. 31, 1927, in Meyersdale, he was the son of the late Clarence
  and Cora Beal of Meyersdale.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
  Katherine Frances (Paugh) Beal.
    Mr. Beal is survived by two brothers:  Harry Beal and wife, Marge, and
  Francis Beal and wife, Kathleen, both of Meyersdale; a sister, Mary (Beal)
  Sechler and husband, Gilbert Sechler, of Meyersdale; and numerous nieces
  and nephews.
    Mr. Beal, an Army veteran, was a life member of the VFW.  He was also a
  member of Moose Lodge No. 76 in Meyersdale.
    Funeral services were held Aug. 7 at McComas Funeral Home in Joppa, Md.,
  with Rev. John W. Rudisill, Jr. presiding.  Interment was in the Union
  Chapel United Methodist Cemetery in Joppa.
