A daughter of Benjamin and Susan (Crosby) Boyer, she was born near Meyersdale on March 16, 1882. Her husband, Jacob Beal, a veteran of the Civil War, died 25 years ago. A son, Jacob, was killed in France in World War I, and two grandsons and a great-grandson are now serving in the Armed Forces of the United States. Surviving are eight children - Mrs. Mary Fuller, Stoystown; Mrs. Eugene Bowman, Meyersdale; Mrs. Alva Bittner, Meyersdale, R.D.; Benjamin C., Connellsville; Rollo, Windber; William H., at home; Luther R. and Charles H., both of Meyersdale. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Amanda Cole, Riofott, Ill.; three brothers, Cyrus and John C., both of Chicago, Ill., and Hiram, Washington, D.C., and 41 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Beal was a member of the Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church and the War Mothers Association of Meyersdale. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church by Rev. Nelson C. Brown. Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of W. C.
