Born Sept. 22, 1922 in Windber, a son of the late Chency Rollo and Nora (Smearman) Beal. Preceded in death by a granddaughter. Survived by his widow Cecile (Lavole) Beal and these children; Karen, wife of Larry Stevanus, Garrett; and David Beal, Erie, PA; Grandchildren: Kristie Stevanus, Virginia; Kelly Fabian, Somerset; and Dennis Stevanus, Cresson. Also survived by great-grandchildren: Kaleb and Isaac Stevanus, and Mariah and Jonathan Fabian. Brother of Florence Horchler, Grantsville, MD; Ruth Warechime, Tanneytown, MD; and Donna Foy, Berlin. He was a retired employee of Snyder's Chip Plant, Berlin, a veteran of US Navy WWII and member of Meyersdale VFW. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church with Father James Dugan celebrant. Interment in the Union Cemetery with military service. Under the direction of the M.
