He was born in Meyersdale, Pa., June 23, 1888, and lived in Barberton for the past 20 years. He was employed by Babcock and Wilcox Co., as a carpenter and foreman. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Logsdon of Barberton and Mrs. Hazel Zeigler of Sharpsville, Pa.; one son, Jack of Barberton; one step-daughter, Mrs. Imogene Arnold of Barberton; six grandchildren; three brothers, Ray in New Castle, Pa., Edward in San Diego, Calif., and Charles in McKeesport, Pa; and three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Williams of Syracuse, N.Y., Mrs. Edith Beachy of McKeesport, Pa., and Mrs. Bessie Lowery of Meyersdale. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Campfield-Hickman Chapel, the Rev. H. D. ?? of the First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was made in the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Ohio. Meyersdale Republican, February 17, 1949
